PRESENTERS Deanna Light, the daughter and granddaughter of music ministers, has been active in church music ever since she can remember. Deanna holds bachelor's degrees in English and Spanish, as well as a master's degree in liturgical studies from the Catholic University of America. She is currently Co-Director of Music and Liturgy at St. Brendan Catholic Community in Cumming, GA, a suburb of Atlanta. She has worked with adult choirs, children's choirs, and contemporary ensembles, and conducts workshops for lectors and cantors. Paul Tate is a composer, pianist, vocalist, and recording artist living and working in the Atlanta area. A product of Catholic school education, Paul received bachelors and masters degrees in Music Composition from the University of Georgia. A music educator himself, Paul has been an instructor of music theory, choral department chair, and band assistant, as well as pianist and musical director of spring productions. Many students today credit Paul with their own personal and professional accomplishments in music. Paul's original music is characterized by fresh harmonizations, vocal counterpoint, and scripturally-solid texts. |
